About moka.pk

موقع (mauqa) is Urdu for “opportunity”. We want everyone looking for work in Pakistan to see every opportunity in the day’s papers, with the details that matter, without buying and reading every paper.

Where the jobs come from

We cover the job ads in Dawn, The News, Express Tribune, The Nation, and the English-language ads in Jang, across their city editions. For now we list English ads only; Urdu ads will follow.

How it works

1. Twice each morning (around 7 and 10 am Pakistan time) we open the day’s e-paper pages from each newspaper’s website.
2. Our software, which includes AI, finds the job ads and reads each one: the posts, number of vacancies, pay scale, age limit, who can apply, qualification, experience, last date and how to apply.
3. Every detail is then checked against the printed text of the ad. If a detail cannot be confirmed, we don’t guess: the job shows “Unclear in the ad”. If the ad doesn’t state something, it shows “Not mentioned”.
4. An ad printed in several papers or editions is listed once, with every paper and page it appeared in.
5. Each job links to the original ad on the newspaper’s website, and ads whose last date has passed are taken off the list.

We work hard to get every detail right, but the newspaper ad is the final word. Before you apply, open the original ad using the link on each job, and follow the instructions printed there. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we’ll fix it.

moka.pk is free to use, and the site is supported by advertising. We are not an employer or a recruitment agency, we don’t take applications, and we are not affiliated with any newspaper or employer. We will never ask you for money for a job. Be careful with anyone who does.
