Privacy policy

What we collect

• When you browse jobs: we don’t ask for any personal information. Like every website, our hosting provider receives technical details with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. These are used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• When you contact us: the form asks for your email address and a message, and optionally your name and the job you are writing about. We use this only to reply to you and to correct listings. We keep messages until they are dealt with, and we delete yours whenever you ask.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t run analytics or tracking tools of our own.

Cookies

• theme: remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. It is kept for one year and contains nothing else.
• Advertising cookies: when ads are shown, Google and its partners may set or read cookies, as described below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The job listings work without cookies.

Advertising

moka.pk is free because it may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let Google and its partners choose ads for you based on your visits to moka.pk and to other sites on the internet.

• You can turn off personalised ads from Google in Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of personalised ads from other vendors that take part in the industry opt-out at aboutads.info/choices.
• Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where the law requires it, for example in the EU and UK, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Services we use

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Supabase stores the job listings and contact messages in its Singapore data centre.
• Google provides the ads and the Urdu font in our logo.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy.

The job ads

The listings are taken from job ads published in newspapers. They can include an employer’s name, address, phone number or email address, exactly as printed in the ad. If you are the advertiser and something should be corrected or removed, contact us.

Children

moka.pk is meant for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For any question about your privacy, or to have your messages deleted, please get in touch.
